JAMES F. TURNER II, PE
James F. Turner II, PE, is president and chief executive officer of JFTE. Responsible for strategic business development and corporate growth, Jim has created a flexible corporate structure that's remarkably responsive to customer needs.
As a civil/structural project engineer for Brown & Root during the 1970s, Jim served as special engineering consultant for the company's Central Engineering Division. In that capacity, he faced and solved some of the most challenging structural problems that projects can pose.
Jim founded JFTE in 2003 after operating Turner Engineers Inc., one of the nation's leading consulting engineering firms, for more than 20 years. Today, he balances daily management activities with active design participation in current projects. More than 30 years of experience as an engineer and business owner have given him an unwavering commitment to client communication and customer service.
Jim holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University. He is a member of Chi Epsilon, the honorary civil engineering fraternity, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Consulting Engineering Council, the Construction Specifications Institute and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
